Fleshcrafting is the magic of transforming the body, literally sculpting it into new shapes and configurations as if it were made of clay or stone. Fleshcrafters can do temporary modifications, fleshcrafts that last for a scene, without ST approval. However, permanent fleshcrafting can be done as well. Any permanent fleshcrafting which grants new powers or abilities will cost XP and must be approved before use. An XP ticket can be sent in to get one of these, provided you have a fleshcrafter of the appropriate level to do the fleshcrafting for you. You must have a log of the fleshcrafting being done IC when you apply for the item.
The fleshcrafts listed here are standard, and have standard costs, meaning that you do not have to get ST approval before requesting them, but fleshcrafters can create, and get approved, unique fleshcrafts (that may eventually be added to this list).
Fleshcrafts are passive traits unless otherwise mentioned in the description. If they are retracted, such as wings or claws, you must spend a post extending them before use. Unless you are a fleshcrafter, having more than 5 non-free fleshcrafts will need extra approval by the STs.
For those transferring from CV2: You can only transfer standard fleshcrafts you already had (ones from this list). New fleshcrafts (that your character did not already have) will need to be gained IC after opening.
Scar/Tattoo/Blemish Removal: You can repair tissue damages and remove markings such as tattoos and birthmarks.
Strange Teeth: Fangs? Jagged Jack-O-Lantern chompers? The sky's the limit.
Wings:You have wings, but they are not functional and are simply aesthetic.
Horns:They can't be used for combat, but they do look pretty.
Tail:Scaled, fluffy, exoskeletal… You name it. It's not useful for much, though.
Face Change: You can alter your face and/or hair, whether you need to disappear for a while or simply want a change.
Skin Change:You can change the tone and colour of your skin. From light peach, to dark mocha, to vibrant purple.
Gender Change: You can alter your gender, add more than one gender, or even have no gender at all.
Limb/Appendage Re-attachment: Depending upon your level of Fleshcrafting, you can reattach a finger or even a whole limb. This is if you still have the severed limb. Otherwise it will need to be made from scratch, which is considerably more painful and time consuming.
Hooves: Much like the classic rendition of Fauns and Satyrs, you are able to craft your legs into those of a goat.
Fur:Your body is partially/fully covered in fur. It doesn’t provide a resistance to cold environments, but it is particularly soft and floofy.
Scales: Your body is partially/fully covered in scales. These scales do not add a defense but they do look scaly.
Long Tongue:Your tongue is exceptionally long, but cannot be used for combat or as a prehensile. It’s just long.
Nightvision: Your sight has been altered to allow you to see impeccably well in the dark. See extra.
Hidden Compartment:You have a hidden cavity. This can be internal -or- external, but bear in mind that you will likely want to access whatever you are storing there.
Tough Soles: The skin on the soles of your feet is made hardier, allowing you to tread bare footed on gravel, broken glass, and even Lego bricks without hurting yourself.
Fur:You have a coat of fur, partial or full. It provides some resistance against colder environments and climates.
Fingerprint Removal:You can remove your fingerprints, rendering your touches untraceable via this particular method of investigation.
Extra Eyelids: You have thin, transparent ‘secondary’ eyelids. These can be used like your normal ones to protect your vision against the environment without impeding your sense of sight. Sandstorms, dust storms, wind, extreme heat, etc.
Claws: You have claws that can be utilized during combat.
Retractable Weaponry:A blade that can extend from your forearm, perhaps. Or small nubs upon your knuckles to make your punches that little bit more dangerous. These weapons are made from bone and as such are not as strong as the metal your average sword is made from.
Double Jointed:You have more joints than you should. These can be used to bend further backward than would usually be possible, or bend an additional time at the forearm, for example.
Third Eye: You have an additional eye in a placement of your choosing that can be used to see in an additional direction. Watch your back.
Weaponized/Prehensile Tail (2 for weaponized, 2 for prehensile, 4 for both): You have a tail that can be used as a weapon, or be used to grip and roughly manipulate objects.
Weaponized/Prehensile Tentacles(2 for weaponized, 2 for prehensile, 4 for both): You have tentacles that can be used as a weapon, or be used to grip and roughly manipulate objects. You may have as many as you like, but may only use two at a time for combat.
Gills: You are capable of breathing underwater indefinitely.
Horns: You have horns that can be used for combat.
Prehensile Tongue: Your tongue is exceptionally long and can be used as a prehensile appendage.
Reinforced Ankles: You can fall as much as 30ft without injuring yourself, as long as you land on your feet.
Heart Relocation:Move your heart to another area of your body, making it harder to locate.
Extra Mouth: An additional mouth, capable of biting as well as a myriad of other mouth-y actions. Save for speaking and anything else that might require a connection to the lungs.
Webbed Fingers/Toes:You have a thin canvas of skin between your toes and fingers, allowing you to swim faster in water.
Unhinged Jaw: Your bottom jaw can unhinge the same way that a Boa Constrictor's can, allowing you to fit more into your mouth or take larger bites. This does not make your esophagus or stomach any larger so you could not, for example, eat a pig whole. (At the cost of an additional 2XP you can make alterations to your esophagus to allow you to swallow whole anything small enough to fit into your stomach.)
Additional Limbs:You have extra arms/legs. You may have as many as you like, but may only use two of your extra limbs at a time for combat.
Muscle Fiber Enhancement:You can greatly fortify your muscular structure, making your muscles more dense and allowing selected limbs to become stronger -or- faster. Specify which when submitting your XP form.
Scaled/Tough Skin: Your skin is more dense. While not immune to cutting damage, it is more resilient and will suffer less harm from cutting melee attacks. You are still vulnerable to crushing damage, however. (Maces, clubs, bats, etc.)
Chitinous Plating: You have protective shell-like plates on your body that are protective against melee attack. You must take this multiple times if you want plates in multiple places. (Forearms, shins, back, etc.)
Focusing Iris: Your eyes have an additional lens, allowing you to 'zoom in' to view distant sights and landscapes in superb detail.
Sticky Fingers:You can push tiny and barely visible hooks through the surface of your fingertips and palms, allowing you to climb walls. They also grant better weapon grip, or can be used to deliver unpleasant skin-stripping slaps.
Periscopic Eyes: Your eyes can leave their sockets to become like those of a snail. Useful in a pinch for subtly peering over a height, or peeking into a small confined space like an organic snake-cam. It takes a full post of detatching before use.
Skin Canvas: Similar to the Flying Squirrel, you have a canvas of skin along each side of your body. It can be deployed after leaping from a height allowing you to glide and slow your fall. It cannot be used for flight.
Organ Duplication/Additional Organs: You can duplicate organs already present in the body. This can be used to add an additional set of lungs, increasing how long you can hold your breath for or how long you can run and fight for without becoming exhausted. You can create an extra liver to increase how much alcohol you can consume before suffering alcohol poisoning.
Ink Sac:A small bag or pouch concealed somewhere internal, designed to securely hold liquid to be squirted or sprayed from an outlet somewhere on your body. The sac does not generate any liquid and must be filled manually with a fluid of your choosing.
Functional Wings:You have wings that allow you to take flight. See extra. (You don't have to buy both.)
Vampires Only: Internal Hive:You have Fleshcrafted some part of your body to be porous and contain an insect hive, which is ghouled to you. The cost of this upgrade includes being able to control the hive to some degree. It takes two posts to fully "wake" your hive before use.
Hardened Skeleton: Your bones can sustain more trauma before breaking or fracturing. You lose limbs less easily.
Organ Creation: Similar to organ duplication. At the highest tier of Fleshcrafting you are able to create entirely new and never-before-seen organs to fulfill a range of purposes.
