Humans:Humankind. They are the whole reason that the space-faring vessel known as the Fornax was sent out. A place must be found for human-kind to thrive, as they are believed to be vital to saving all Realms and Universes. Although magicless, humans have great potential, and are vital to the survival of many other races.
Abyssals: Hailing from a Realm known as the Abyss, the Abyssals of planet Arcanos once ruled their lands as semi-divine creatures. A war between a goddess of Death and a god of Time ravaged their Realm, however, and after the destruction of their capital city, many escaped to New Convergence. Abyssal races include Cetea (merfolk), Naga, Strix, High Drow aka Voidlyth, Gargoyles, and Drakes.
Animates: Brought to life either by technology or by magic, the Animates bind together against those who see them as 'less than alive'. The Dolliau, or Dolls, are humanlike items brought to life by magic. And Robots are machines brought to life by technology.
Celestials:So much of the magic of the New Convergence world initially stems from the gods. And Celestials are those who are closest to the gods. The Elohim and Nephilim have brought to a close their ancient war, but tensions continue to bubble. Will they boil over? What of the other Celestials who serve strange gods, old and new?
Chimera: Now, more than ever, mutation is common among humanity. Though it existed before, something about Juniper is exascerbating the process. Are humans meant to mutate? Is this the truth of their evolution? And what of those who were forced to mutate, by science and in particular Vecratek (in the case of Cyborgs) or LX17 labs on Earth?
Faemorii:First they lost their home of Avalon, then they lost their new home of Earth. However, in the process, they learned who they truly are, and the many secrets that had kept them bound to the cruel tyrrany of the unworthy. Now remade, along with those they were long TOLD were their enemies, the Fae and Underkin are joined in the new race known as the Faemorii.
Juniperan: This strange planet, Juniper, where all the races find themselves...holds a story, and races, of its own. From the highly technical Vakrynalians, to the bliss-seeking Argosi, and the severe Cryptids, even the wildcard Natha Erz. What happened to these races that caused such devastation to this planet? What was the cause of the Great War?
Mages: As long as there have been humans, and magic, there have been those humans who have found a way to wield magic to their advantage. The bloodlines of the Mages hold many secrets, but can they exist in a world where their central governance structure no longer keeps them together?
Ethereals: Creatures of myth and legends, the Ethereal races attempt to find new freedom on Juniper. The Yokai, creatures once bound to Japan, must find the truth of their race deep within the Spirit Realm. The Sylvani, ex-slaves to the Elementals, now unleash their free spirited ways on a completely new planet. Escaping slavery and treachery, the Djinn seek a way to break the curse of the Dragons upon their homeland.
Shifters: Long misunderstood, the Shifters battled for thousands of years against their ancient enemies, the Vampires. However, a new peace may change their society forever. Now that their curse is broken, will they be able to integrate into society in all new ways?
Vampires: Since before the time of the pyramids, the vampires have run their society under the fist of draconic laws, with harsh penalties to those who step out of line. Although many still cling to the old ways, will Juniper present a new opportunity for the vampires?
Wraiths:Death. It is as common a specter on Juniper as it was on Earth. But, now that the Wraiths have cast aside the old war between the Empire and the Crusade, new opportunities present themselves to really delve deep, and understand what the truths behind the Pale Realm, and death in general, really are.
